Sequoiadendron giganteum 'Pendulum' is one of the most animate of all trees. The trunk can be straight but more oftem it twists or leans in one or more directions with no predictable fashion. The branches on this selection are tightly pendlous and conform to the trunk, creating a living sculpture. The weeping giant sequoia is captivating in any garden or landscape dut to its bazaar form, and no two will ever grow the same. Where space allows, plant it in groups of two to seven to give the inpression of a congregation of ghosts. Planting it in a lawn emphasizes the captivating form, but it is equally effective looming over grasses and fine-textured perennials. This is a tree that will be noticed.
Sequoiadendron giganteum 'Pendulum' needs full sun. It grows in any well-drained soil and is drought resistant. It is virtually maintenance free.
Weeping giant sequoia grows to 10 feet tall by three feet wide in ten years and at maturity can reach 40 feet hight.
