Well-behaved plant for dense, narrow hedges or screens. Makes a great clipped hedge requiring minimal care for a formal appearance. Bright glossy green leaves. An elite plant distribution from the U.S. National Arboretum, it is known in Japan as "Bekomasaki." Naturally narrow habit of growth adapts to small spaces. Evergreen. Full to partial sun. Moderate-growing to 6 to 8 feet tall, 1 to 2 feet wide. This plant is adaptable to varied soils and tolerates drought, salt spray, and air pollutants.
