Description
The word Gaura comes from the Greek word meaning, superb. Not a surprising
name for this plants and one of my favourites in our garden. Amongst the most
prolific and longest flowering perennials, these butterfly bushes deserve
a place in every sunny garden. Hardy evergreens best trimmed back to a solid
base once flowering eventually finishes.
Tidy grower, 15-18” tall, with a profusion of pure white flowers all
summer. Unlike other Gauras, there is not the slightest hint of pink in the
flowers. Foliage is remarkably clean, without any of the common spotting.
Masses of pure white butterflies on a tall shrubby framework. So White, is distinguishable by its clear green unmarked foliage and the purity of its white flowers. The overall impression is very crisp and tidy. This is an outstanding and totally reliable garden plant that I would not be without.
