Description
Palm-shaped, orange-yellow leaves in spring, which turn rich green in summer, and contrasting coral-red shoots. This coral-bark maple is possibly the best maple for all-year round interest as the foliage turns fabulous shades of soft yellow in autumn. Perfect for a small garden, choose a partly shaded site close to an entrance or path, where the distinctive, coral-coloured bark can be appreciated after the leaves have fallen.
Garden care: Add a top-dressing of a multi-purpose fertiliser around the base of the plant in late spring. No routine pruning is required. Remove any dead, damaged or crossing branches in April when the plant is in full growth
Hardiness: Zones 5-8
Plant Type: deciduous shrub or small tree
Exposure: Partial Sun
Water Requirements: Average Water Needs; Water regularly; do not overwater
